On May 9th, the Center for Plain Language again celebrated the best in clear communication with the annual ClearMark Awards. As Head Judge, it was exciting to see the wonderful work being done in all sectors.
Our English Grand ClearMark winner - Planning for Your Retirement by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - showed how even complex information can be simplified for all audiences.
Similarly, the Spanish winner - How to Talk to Your Doctor HANDbook by Center for Health Literacy, the University of Arkansas for Medical Science - showed how we can better reach vulnerable audiences with a clear, plain approach.
